General Terms and Conditions for Accommodation

1. Scope

These terms apply from the time of reservation to contracts for the rental of hotel rooms and all related services of the hotel. Subletting or re-letting, or use for purposes other than accommodation, requires the hotel’s consent in text form.

2. Conclusion of contract

The contract is concluded when the hotel accepts the guest’s request. A room confirmation is possible but not a prerequisite.

3. Prices, payment, limitation

Invoices are payable within ten days without deduction. The hotel may require an advance payment or security (e.g. credit card guarantee). Set-off is only possible against undisputed or legally established claims. Claims against the hotel generally become time-barred after one year; claims for damages after the statutory periods. Excluded are claims arising from injury to life, body, health or liberty and from intentional or grossly negligent conduct.

4. Cancellation by the guest

Cancellation is free of charge up to three days before arrival. After that, 90% of the agreed price is charged. During trade fairs and high season, the free cancellation period is 14 days. For arrival on the same or the following day, free cancellation is not possible. In case of no-show, the hotel may charge at least 90% of the accommodation price.

5. Withdrawal by the hotel

The hotel may withdraw from the contract in cases of force majeure, incorrect information given by the guest at booking, risk to hotel operations, unlawful purpose of stay or missing advance payment, among others. This gives rise to no claim for damages by the guest.

6. Provision and return of rooms

Rooms are available from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11:00 am on the day of departure. For later departure the hotel may charge 50% of the accommodation price (until 6:00 pm), and 100% thereafter.

7. Liability

The hotel is liable without limitation for injury to life, body or health and for intent and gross negligence. Otherwise it is only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations. We recommend using the in-room safe for valuables.

8. Pets, smoking

Pets are only permitted after prior written registration and for a fee per night; they are not allowed in the restaurant and bar. Smoking is prohibited throughout the hotel. In case of violations, cleaning and restoration costs of at least €100 are charged.

9. Final provisions

Amendments and additions should be made in text form. Place of performance and jurisdiction is Munich. German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

Terms for events

These terms apply to the rental of conference and event rooms and related services provided by Amalienburg GmbH.

Cancellation: Overnight stays booked with an event can be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days before arrival; after that 50% or 90% is charged. For the event itself: free of charge up to 31 days before the start, after that 30% or 60% of the offer total.

Number of participants: Changes must be communicated to the hotel in good time; an increase of more than 5% at the latest five working days in advance. At least 95% of the agreed number is invoiced.

Equipment and catering: Equipment brought by the customer requires the hotel’s consent; electricity costs may be charged. Food and drinks brought by the customer are generally not permitted; exceptions require an agreement and incur a fee.

Liability: The hotel is only liable for items brought by the customer in case of intent or gross negligence. Jurisdiction is Munich.

Car park terms

By accepting the parking ticket or driving in, a rental contract for the parking space is concluded. Supervision or safekeeping is not part of the contract. Use is free of charge for hotel guests and event participants. Walking speed applies; parking is only permitted in marked spaces. Smoking, refuelling, washing and repairs are prohibited. Please lock your vehicle and do not leave valuables behind.

Wi-Fi terms of use

Wi-Fi access is free of charge; there is no entitlement to availability, speed or specific services. Access data must be kept confidential. Prohibited are unlawful content, copyright infringement, file sharing, spam, malware, operating servers and interference with network operations. The hotel may restrict or block access in case of suspected violations. The user is liable for their activities and indemnifies the hotel against third-party claims. MAC addresses are stored temporarily, log data for up to seven days. German law applies.
